The campus and the Italian classes at Francesco Totti’s Academy

The project of this school, founded by the Italy national team star and Roma player, is to pass on to youngsters the technical and moral qualities that made him famous throughout his career. For this reason, he opened the football summer camp for all young athletes, from 7 to 16 years old

The aim of the course is to create a stimulating environment in which athletes have the opportunity to be immersed in a complete sporting and educational programme. Instruction in tactics, technique, strategy, meeting athletes from other countries, are the main ingredients that make this course an unforgettable learning experience.

Participants are supervised by instructors qualified by FIGC and UEFA and strictly chosen by the Francesco Totti Academy.

In addition, there are practical demonstrations, drills, training sessions, games, mini-tournaments and use of the swimming pool.

During the camp, players are assembled according to their age and abilities and will receive valuable advice on training methods.

At the end of the stay, each participant will receive a certificate of completion of the course. The athletes will be immersed in a fun and safe environment and will live a unique experience.

The location chosen by the Academy for the camp is in the Region of Lazio and Umbria, Italy, more precisely at the Pine Forest Campus in Pomezi, Roccaporena Cascia, Rome. Those who wish to reside there will be accommodated in comfortable facilities in the residences adjacent to the Park.

The health service is guaranteed by the Villa Stuart clinic, founded in the 1980s and attended by the athletes of the Italian Olympic Committee. There are doctors specialised in every sport and it has all the necessary equipment for complete examinations. It is located in the Lazio region and athletes are given a personal card that covers emergency, diagnostic, orthopaedic and traumatology services.

Before entering the camp, they must undergo a full medical examination consisting of: ECG with and without stress, urine and blood tests, spirometry, ergometry, chest and spine x-ray and eye examination.

In addition, young people have the possibility to learn Italian during their stay on campus. The course is held at the Collegio Giuseppe Garibaldi or at the public school Dante Alighieri.

G. Garibaldi: is an excellent school with a 67 hectare complex which includes a library with more than ten thousand books, a physics laboratory, a computer room, classrooms dedicated to design, a television and multimedia room, a sports centre, recreational areas and a canteen with healthy menus prepared by specialised staff.

D. Alighieri: was founded in 1923 and offers certificates from the “Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione”. Students are encouraged to think in Italian, grammatical expression is taken care of and in a short time they interact in Italian in different situations. At the end of the course students receive a certificate depending on the level reached: beginners, introductory level, elementary level, intermediate level, advanced level, advanced diploma and master level.
